Labor Day Weekend Zip & Sip
Zip Lost Pines | Cedar Creek, TX
Sunday, Sept. 2 | 5PM
Thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies will enjoy this one! Zip Lost Pines (located in McKinney Roughs Nature Park) will have the “Cactus Corridor” zipline, measuring 671 feet in length, open for $25 rides for Labor Day Weekend! When your ride is over you can hang out at basecamp and enjoy live music and lawn games like Corn Hole, Horshoes, and Giant Jenga. Local Austin brewery Hops & Grain Brewing will be providing the “sips” for the evening! Walk ins are welcome but space is limited, so we recommend reserving a spot ahead of time.
Labor Day Weekend Scavenger Hunt
Science Mill | Johnson City, TX
Saturday, Sept. 1 – Monday, Sept. 3 | 10AM – 4PM
If you’re looking for something to do that is fun for the family head over to the Science Mill in Johnson City! They have created a special scavenger hunt that is available for the whole weekend. All you’ll need is a smartphone to answer a few “fact or fiction” questions to complete the hunt, which leads you through the Mill’s exhibits and straight to the treasure! Test your knowledge and see if you can get to the end! The event is free with regular admission ($10 for adults, $8.50 for children)
Labor Day Weekend Waves
NLand Surf Park | Austin, TX

Austin may be miles from the coast, but local surf lovers can still hang ten this labor day weekend at NLand Surf Park’s Labor Day Cookout! Enjoy food, great drink specials, live music, and special pricing at the surf park, plus arts and crafts for the kiddos. The Overlook is dog friendly, so the whole family can join in for this fun event. Labor Day doesn’t have to mean summer is ending, get out on the water and have some fun! Even if you’ve never surfed before you’ll be standing up on your board in no time on their Bay Waves for beginners and juniors!
Bob Schneider’s Labor of Love Concert

Bob Schneider will be performing again at his annual Labor of Love Concert at the Nutty Brown Amphitheatre. Joining him will be local artists the Peterson Brothers and The Troll Smashers. Bob is a local Austin legend, so if you’ve never seen him in concert now is your chance! The event is open to all ages and tickets can be purchased on the Nutty Brown website!
Deep Eddy Labor Day Pool Party

We can’t think of a better way to say goodbye to summer than a pool party at one of Austin’s best swimming spots! This Labor Day Pool Party will be in honor of the hard working volunteers and city staff members who help Keep Austin Cool in the summer by maintaining local parks and pools! Have some fun in the sun and enjoy live music, aquatic performances, a polo match, guest speakers, and food and drinks from Jim Jim’s Water Ice.
