Blog > “Local Gems” Series: Liberty Hill
We would like to introduce our new blog series! “Local Gems” will be focusing on local favorites from greater Austin, featuring a new town each week. Comment local favorites from your town and we’ll try to write about it!
1.Harvest Ranch
In Liberty Hill, along the ranch road, is the “The Harvest Ranch Chuckwagon and Dinner Show.” This dinner show is truly like nothing else in the Austin area, it features good ‘ol “chuckwagon” cuisine and western jams from “The Booher Kids.” Finally, the night will be finished with a rodeo show! The 2017 season at Harvest Ranch begins April 1st, so get tickets here.
2. Best of the West Shooting Sports
This Texas shooting range and paintball center is fun for everyone. With pistols and rifles available for two-hour rentals, anyone can learn how to shoot ’em up. And, if real ammo isn’t your thing, paintball is also available.
3. Liberty Hill Bakery & Cafe
Liberty Hill Bakery & Cafe is a one-stop shop for Liberty Hill’s culinary needs with a dining room, curbside service, and catering available. They are committed to “from-scratch” breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. From classics like biscuits and gravy to more exciting items like the black-bean falafel, Liberty Hill Bakery & Cafe offers a little bit of everything.
4. Red Brick Java
Despite its name, Red Brick Java is actually known for its Hawaiian Ice as much, if not more so, than for it’s coffee. Red Brick specializes in tasty specialty drinks that are the sweet tooth antidote of Liberty Hill residents. This local business is a community treasure and local gem.13
5. Dahlia Cafe
At Dahlia Cafe, they describe the menu as “dressed up” country cooking. Dahlia offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a casual, fun environment. While there is ample indoor seating, most patrons go to Dahlia for its eclectic and groovy patio. On weekends you’ll find all the coolest kids in Liberty Hill listening to local live music under Dahlia Cafe’s shady trees.
Let me know what you think in comments! Next week, we will be featuring Dripping Springs so please tell us your fave spots!
