Blue Hole Park
Blue Hole is a beautiful lagoon surrounded by limestone cliffs along the southern fork of the San Gabriel River. It’s similar to Barton Creek in Austin with less crowds, making it the perfect summer hideaway. The surrounding park features plenty of shaded picnic tables, trails, and clean bathroom facilities. Finding the park is a breeze too, it’s located just off of I-35 and only five blocks north of Georgetown’s town square! There’s free parking available at the corner of 3rd Street and Rock Street.

Georgetown Palace Theater
Georgetown Palace Theater is a non-profit performing arts center where exceptional actors volunteer to put on top-class musicals every season from October through July. This year features performances of Annie, A Christmas Carol, Mary Poppins, and My Fair Lady just to name a few. Tickets are $32 for adults and can be purchased through the theater website or at the Box Office Monday-Friday from 10am until 4pm.

Historic Downtown Square
Downtown Georgetown is a quaint area with a small town feel. Beautifully restored historic buildings house locally owned restaurants and shops. Roaming through boutique shops you can find anything from jewelry and clothing to hand-crafted items and antiques. Downtown Georgetown is also home to some of the best wineries in Central Texas! The city also offers guided tours of the historic buildings with descriptions and stories of local landmarks!

Inner Space Cavern
Explore Inner Space Cavern with your whole family! Discovered more than 80 years ago, Inner Space is considered a live cavern, meaning it’s constantly changing and new formations have taken shape over the years. Guided tours are available at a variety of levels from a family friendly stroll through the cave along a well-lit pathway to an off-trail exploration of the undeveloped parts of the cave for the true adventure-seekers. San Gabriel Park
Situated along the San Gabriel River, this park is one of the most beautiful in the hill country. Oak trees stand tall along the river banks, creating cool shaded areas for picnicking or games of frisbee or football. The river is the perfect place to fish or cool off with a swim on sunny summer afternoons. The park also features walking trails, a playscape, and sports courts including disc golf, basketball, and baseball. The 180-acre park has plenty of room for fun and games and is also a favorite spot for many of Georgetown’s concerts and festivals!
