1. Balcones Canyonlands Wildlife Refuge

Originally created to preserve the golden-cheeked warblers and black-capped vireos, the Balcones Canyonlands Wildlife Refuge is a designated globally Important Bird Area. Make the most of your bird-watching experience in the awesome overlooks on site. Or, take a walk on the wild side using the parks map of trails.

2. Lake Travis Music Theatre

Since 2007, Lake Travis Music Theatre has hosted productions for the hill country community, by the hill country community. All productions are open-audition and many recurring performers are local music groups. Check out the “Twilight Jazz Ensemble,” and “The Hill Country Singers” on the regular. Also, don’t miss the summer musical or the “Twilight Concert Series.”

3. Lago Tacos

Serving up fresh homemade tortillas and yummy salsas on the daily is the Lagos Tacos food truck. A local favorite, Lagos Tacos announces their location on Facebook everyday. They also cater all the best local events.

4. Latte Vista

Every town needs its local cafe, and Lago Vista is no exception. At Latte Vista, all the coffee classics are accounted for, with an awesome smoothie and shaved ice menu as a bonus. Also, they have a great Sandwich, Salad, and Soup collection for all of Lago’s lunch needs.
